Contraindications
a cough caused by wind and cold shortness of breath due to a deficiency ⚠️ Contains ma-huang (ephedra): to be used as directed; not for use in cases of hypertension or heart disease
Notes
The primary formula for lung heat with shortness of breath: gypsum balances the warming effect of ephedra, so the formula clears heat and opens up the breath. Preparation: Boil the ma-huang and shi-gao first, then add the rest.
